There is so much that can be said about this trip. It is when we first became a family. It is when my life changed forever and for the better. I got to do so many things I had never done before and it opened up my eyes to a whole new world. My life is so much richer for having become an adoptive mother. We love you, Isabella! Forever and always!
Our first time together as a family, Sept. 1, 2005.
Getting ready for Isabella's first bath.
Dining out at one of the many beautiful outdoor restaurants in Antigua, Don Rodrigo. Seriously, even the McDonald's looks like this!
Nana came to visit!
Our first home! It is the condo on the right. Santa Rosa Apartments.
Beautiful Antigua!
Halloween and happy babies :)
Dia de los Muertos celebration in nearby town. Totally crazy celebration and kite festival!
Did I mention it was in a cemetary? Yes, those are graves people are partying on top of.
Cerro de la cruz overlooking Antigua
AnaMaria and Josie
Climbing Pacaya volcano, yes, it is smoldering behind us.
Top of the world (or Pacaya, by the way, this was all blown away in May of 2010)
Skiing down the volcano, so much fun!
Our rented room at our final home in Antigua, it was perfect for us!
Isabella's beautiful smile!
View from our room!
Downstairs roommates and great friends!
Getting ready for one of our many walks around town.
Hanging out with daddy!
Swimming at Hotel Antigua on Christmas Day.
Where we spent our afternoons.
Merry Christmas!
Beautiful Lake Atitlan
Panajachel on Lake Atitlan
Sunset over Lake Atitlan (it was on this trip that we got the news we were going home soon, bittersweet news!)
